Meredith owns a shop that I wandered into when I was in an unfamiliar area. The hour was late, traffic was terrible, and I wasn't sure I could get home before the wee hours. Without pause, Meredith started calling local hotels to find a room for me. I suddenly felt safe and looked after—and so blessed.
Two guys were leaving their street parking spot just as I was about to refill the meter on mine. They gave me their sticker which was good for another hour, the exact amount of time I needed.
I'm inspired by my friend Brian. He invited a group of new acquaintances over to his home for dinner and surprised us all with an amazing 4-course meal. When we offered to help (even with the dishes), he politely declined. "I've got it. Just enjoy," he said. Pretty amazing hospitality.
