On a very crowded transit ride, a young woman offered her seat to an elderly man. He had trouble even getting to the seat with his walking cane, but others made a point to help him along. Courtesy does still exist... even in rush hour.
I'm inspired by my grandparents. Even though we never had the chance to meet, their successes and sacrifices have strengthened the foundation of my life.
Tonight a gathering of Bethany Community Church folks encouraged me just by telling stories of vulnerability. Creativity. Tough decisions and being stuck. Stumbling on pain, getting tangled in the suffering, and eventually, letting participation lead to a solution. So thankful for this truth-telling.
