My 14 year old neighbor was the recipient of a rare Boy Scout award for saving his mother's life. In November, his mother showed signs of suffering a severe stroke. He called 911, calmly gathered her and her things, got her to the curb outside to be accessible for paramedics. Because of his actions, she survived.

My wife is incredible in her job. Whenever I visit her work, there's notes from her patients saying how they feel cared for and supported by her. But she doesn't ever tell me about them...I have to find them on my own!

My flight was only three hours away and I was still in need of a ride to the airport. When I called my buddy Mike, he was more than willing to help out. He drove in rush-hour traffic for almost two hours to and from the airport, all while saying it was "no big deal." I will certainly pay his kindness forward.
